Climbing the steps of Paris' iconic monument is "so last year" — these days, tourists are harnessing up and zipping down the Eiffel Tower at speeds of up to 90km an hour.
It's all part of Perrier's Smash Perrier attraction, which coincides with the French Open tennis event and the 130th anniversary of the steel monument. Mimicking speeds of a powerful tennis serve, the ride gives thrill-seekers a view of the French capital from 115m up in the air. It launches from the tower's second floor and ends at the 18th century École Militaire.
